This site is run by Janus Mirror, an independent animation studio. This notice explains what the site collects, why, and for how long.
What we collect
What you give us: your name, contact details, the kind of animation you want and your project description, when you use the message form.
What is recorded while you browse:
- the time of your visit, your IP address, and the approximate region (province or state, city) and network provider derived from it;
- device and browser details: operating system, browser, device model, screen size, language and time zone;
- which website or app you came from (the referring address and any campaign parameters in the link);
- what you do on the page: time actually spent, which sections you reached, which buttons and links you clicked, which film clips you watched and for how long, and how far you got in the message form (nothing you type is recorded unless you send it);
- page load time, animation smoothness, how the background was rendered, and any page errors.
Your browser stores a random ID so a returning visit can be recognised. It contains no personal information. The site uses no third-party analytics or advertising tools and no tracking cookies, and this information is never sold or shared with third parties.
Why
To reply to your message, to learn which content and films are useful to visitors and improve the site, and to fix display problems on different phones and browsers. An AI assistant is used to help organise and analyse these statistics.
Where it is kept, and for how long
Data is stored on Janus Mirror’s own server. Browsing records are kept for 180 days. After that, the IP address, detailed browser information and individual actions are deleted, and only coarse information (date, region, source, device type, time spent) is kept for daily statistics. Messages are kept until they are no longer needed or you ask for them to be deleted.
Opting out
If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, the site does not record your browsing. Clearing this site’s data in your browser also clears the random ID.
